Lytham Parking Problems

True to the fantasy land in which our Tory-controlled council seems to live, Cllr. Fulford-Brown (LSA Express letters 12th June) seems to think that the fact that Booths Haven Rd staff can't park in the store car park is the cause of a Lytham

street parking problem. But is not the Booths car park some sort of joint

operation between the store and the Council?

Initially there was a charge levied by the Council and enforced by traffic wardens which has now been abandoned in favour of a three hour limit still enforced by traffic wardens.

Who sets these regulations? The car park is almost never full. Just a tiny

bit of joined up thinking would allow spaces to be allocated to staff and

exempted from the three hour limit. But joined up thinking is probably too much to expect from the present Conservative-controlled administration.
