St Annes Town Council are to be congratulated on securing a £15,000 grant from Lancashire County Council for a Heat Pump which will be installed in the new Pavilion in Ashton Gardens. This pump will utilise the heat in the ground to warm the building so reducing the need for increasingly expensive fossil-based fuels. Working in partnership with Fylde Borough Council Officers Town Councillors have demonstrated that they have an important part to play in the town's future development.

Ashton Institute prior to demolition

Ashton Gardens is being revamped thanks to a National Lottery Grant. The old Ashton Institute building, which is of considerable architectural merit, is being rebuilt and refurbished as part of the project.
